We welcome and support the blowing of the winds of liberation, renewal and dignity on the Nile Valley, finally! It is indeed past time for a people's liberation, renewal and dignity that we have been calling for and has been our mission since 1985.
We are particularly hopeful now that the Egyptian and the Sudanese people started the first step in the one thousand journey for genuine liberation.
We support the people's human and constitutional rights of freedom of thought, expression, organization and their peaceful marches for renewal and genuine democratic change.
The sooner those in power understand and heed the people's call and become servants of a peaceful transition to freedom and democracy, the better it will be for all.

These are the rights of freedom of research, thought, expression and organization I advocated for at a Salam Sudan Foundation/International Peace Quest Institute (IPQI) Civil Society Peace & Democracy Education Forum in Khartoum, Sudan in April 2008.
